I'd have to go with the L3010. Physically its a bigger tractor. It will handle a bigger loader and 3pt implements. Bigger tires and overall weight spells better traction. And it seems to be one of the best and most popular models Kubota has come out with. Those two models are really not in the same frame size catagory, for the price the Kubota is overall abetter tractor.
However Myactual vote would be for a New Holland TC29D, TC30 or TC33D.

I personaly have a New Holland TC29, but any of the TC29,TC30 or the TC33 would be an excellant choice for your applications.

I would recomend pulling from the draw bar,its the lowest pointof pull, after all thats what its designed for. Pulling from the 3pt might put yyou on a tippy situation, if you have to pull from an angle.

I agree with DSG's reply that J.D,'s retail price structure is a liitle out of line. I to am running a Woods 7500 subframe backhoe on my TC29, with the hydraulics off of the tractor. Its a great unit, and only takes 5 minutes to attach or remove. Price was $5500 installed. Great bend also makes a good after market backhoe. I heard somewhere that they might make the BH's for J.D.

Would take agood look at Woods Manufacturing. The Woods 7500 and 9000 should both fit the TC 35/40/45's. They are well built and durable. I have the Woods 7500, on my TC29, and I love it.

I purchased a new TC29 two months ago. At the time I felt that the New Holland 7308 loader was a little on the puny side, when compared with the capabilies of the Class II Boomers frame size. Less lifting weight capacity and overall lifting hieght.
I went with a Woods 1012 loader instead, and have not regreted it at all. With the 66" HD bucket it matches the Capacities of the loader to the tractor more proportionately. Along with the new Woods 7500 backhoe I beleive that I have put together a great overall and very capable package. The Woods FEL and BH also come in New Holland blue.
I am not all that familar with the Allied/Buhler loaders for that size of tractor. Have seen them on larger farm tractors, and they seem very well built. If I weir you I wouldn't hesitate to go with an aftermarket loader, as long as it was from a well known manufacturer, such as Allied.
The price you weir quoted on that N.H. loader seems to high. I was quoted $3050 installed. Ended getting the Woods for $2500.

I'm not positive but this sounds like an ad from a guy that advertised custom made canopies last year. A number of people ordered these canopies from this fellow. Then failed to supply the canpoies, or even contact the people that ordered them. I beleive some people even lost their money on this deal.There was quite a bit of talk about this over , as well as here. Do asearch under canopies and it should turn up.<br>

By the way if your going to be in the market for a good rear discharge 3pt finish mower. Check out the ones by First Choice. I just can't say enough about these fine mowers. They are almost an exact clone of the Landpride FDR25 series, with some improvements added. And at a price considerably cheaper than Landpride,Woods or Befco. Its nice to know that a company can still build a quality product with out over inflating the price.

Gee that is a coincidence, it was a just aweek ago sataurday that my new TC29 had the same problem. You should tape it after you plug them back in, or it will just happen again.

I'm trying to help a freind purchase a new tractor. He's looking at a class I boomer, probably the new TC24D. My question for everyone is this. He wants -- needs a front mounted snowblower for it. Need the name and addresses of some aftermarket front mounted snowblowers other than the New Holland brand? Also would like to hear from those of you, who own a New Holland brand snowblower. As to their Quality, durability,ease of installation and or any problems? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been talking to the people at First Choice they are just starting to sell flail mowers. They appear to be good product, possibly a clone of a Caroni.I haven't gotten a firm price yet, but it appears that it wiil be between $15 and $1600 for a 72" one

I to have a new TC29 with a gear tranny, and live PTO. And its gets used heavily 37 hours in its first 24 days. Thats probably 65% earthmoving, landscaping,etc, and 35% finish mowing with a new 6' First Choice Rear discharge finish mower. (excellant mower by the way) For the landscaping, earthmoving duties, I had it equipped with a Woods 1012 FEL (I went with the Woods loader as it specs out better than the New Holland 7308. bigger lift capacity,higher lift,better breakout power.), and a Woods 7500 backhoe. Also I would recomend using loaded R4 industrial tires, For FEL work or lanscaping in general the extra traction comes in handy. Yet with a little care they don't mark up the lawn.<br>

I actually downsized from a Kubota 4150 this time around. the Class II Boomer fits in and around residential work better and is in more demand. With 3 gear ranges I have as much power as my traction will allow me to handle. <br>

Bottom line my out the door Price was $20,475. I may be wrong, but I don't know if you could come close to that with the TC40 and FEL.<br>

I have had my new TC29 almost a month now. Its a gear drive unit, with a live PTO. It doesn't have the fancy seat, Telescopic steering or cruise control. But was already equipped with the deluxe 3PT hitch arms, folding ROPS and R4's.Price on tractor alone was $12,975. The dealer was advertising a special of $13,975 with a 7308 loader. This was for the gear drive, without a live PTO. We wanted the live PTO which added another $1,000. Then had him trade the 7308 FEL straight across for a Woods 1012 FEL, with a 66" HD bucket. Then he dropped the price on a new Woods 7500 backhoe from $6,100 to $5,500. Out the door price $20,475.

The hydro tranny on your TC30 would have added another $1,000 or so. All in all it appears that you've made an excellant deal. Have fun.

King Kutter makes a 5ft/6in box blade that works great with the TC29. It extends about two inches on either of the R4's on my TC29.

I am currently awaiting delivery of our new TC29. I'd like to add a canopy but haven't come across much info on different makes and qualities. Would like to hear what other Boomer owners are using and where they got theirs.
